Is there a fee to attend the ATTRACT Online Conference?

Access to the ATTRACT Online Conference is free.

Why should I register for the ATTRACT Online Conference?

You will benefit from the following advantages:

  • Access to the online conference.
  • Possibility to submit your questions to speakers in the live sessions.
  • Access to the virtual matchmaking platform to book virtual meetings with the participants you want to meet.

How do I register?

Register via the green "Register now" button on the homepage of the event.

How do I make the most of the matchmaking functionalities to virtually meet interesting participants?

Check this video to learn how to set up virtual meetings and read the following tips.

The matchmaking has been set so that any participant can send meeting requests to any other participant. Incoming meeting requests have to be accepted to be scheduled. All confirmed meetings (video calls) are summarised in the menu: Meetings.

  • Make sure that you are registered for the 1:1 meeting slot in the agenda.
  • Create a clear and concise business profile to raise your visibility; your profile should describe who you are, what you can offer to potential partners, and who you want to meet. A good profile will generate significantly more meeting requests. Your profile will be visible before, during and after the event, so make it shine early.
  • Be active not reactive. Browse published participant profiles via the menu Participants or Marketplace and send meeting requests to those you want to meet virtually. Adding a meaningful remark about why you are interested in a meeting will make your request more likely to be accepted. Accepted meeting requests will usually be scheduled automatically and this gives you immediate access to the time and location of a meeting.

How can I send meeting requests to other participants?

  • Log in on the platform and access the menu: Participants.
  • Sort by "Availability" on the top right corner and use the filters on the left (eg, "Countries") to identify profiles that interest you.
  • When interested in a profile, click on View profile, then click on Request meeting.
  • The participant will then receive a notification of your request and will accept/decline.

How can I accept/decline meeting requests from other participants?

Log in on the platform and access the menu: Meetings. Click on the requested meeting and on Accept or Decline on the left. You also have the possibility to leave a message.

How do virtual 1:1 meetings work?

1:1 meetings are managed remotely via video calls (similar to Skype). Video conferencing is provided by the conference platform, so you do not need to install any software.

  • All confirmed meetings (if any) show a button Start meeting and date/time information.
  • You can access your meeting schedule by going to the menu: Meetings on the top right corner. You will see an overview of all your meetings (past and upcoming). You can use the green button "start meeting" next to your meeting partner to enter the virtual meeting room and start a 1:1 meeting. Please be on time for your meetings.
  • A virtual meeting can be started at any given time before its end time and it will only finish when one of the participants ends the meeting. If you are more than two participants in a 1:1 meeting, then the meeting will not end if one participant clicks End meetingand the others will remain in the video call. The remaining time is displayed on the green card at the top right corner, as well as the End meeting button and the Invite guests button. The next meeting card will be displayed one minute before it is due to start. By clicking on Start next meeting  you will end the current meeting and start the next meeting.
  • What happens if your meeting partner does not show up? Go to the Message  button and request they join the meeting. If this should fail, please re-schedule the meeting to another suitable date/time.
  • TIP: Download the "b2match" mobile app (App Store and Google Play) to manage your 1:1 meetings on your phone!

What should I check before joining virtual 1:1 meetings?

  • Check your time zone. Log in and select Edit my profile to check your current time zone selection. If this is not the time zone you will be located in during the meetings, please change accordingly.
  • Keep an eye on 1:1 meeting timelines (start/end). Please start and end your meetings as indicated to avoid delays.
  • Use devices that have a webcam and microphone installed. A camera is recommended, but not essential.
  • Please check that the microphone and camera are enabled in the browser you use.
  • System requirements for virtual meetings. Installing the latest browser version is recommended, but not always necessary. Switch between browsers if problems occur on the one you are using.
  • Perform checks. To make sure that everything is set correctly, please go to the menu: Meetings and click on the green camera button Meeting starts in ... days - this will open the video call feature of your browser and make a test call. You should be able to see yourself! You can invite guests through the Invite guests button, or share your screen through the screen sharing button.
  • Change device if needed. Consider switching to a tablet or your mobile phone to join meetings.

Can I change my profile?

Yes. Log in via the Login button with the credentials that you have received with your registration email. In your personal dashboard you can use the tabs to modify any of your content.
